SkyWarn
SkyWarn is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to training volunteers to keep their community safe. They've been keeping us safe for the past 40 years and counting. The volunteers are the finest group of people suited for the task, all of who have been trained by the instructors at SkyWarn. The organization's volunteers track threatening storms to report the current statistics to the weather stations. That way, they can alert everyone about the upcoming weather. You can get more information about them here. They have over 120 locations where you can join the many who have trained at SkyWarn. At one of the training facilities, the volunteers learn the "Basics of thunderstorm development" and the "Fundamentals of storm structure" as well as "Identifying potential severe weather features", "Information to report", "How to report information", and "Basic severe weather safety". This is exactly what a storm chaser needs to be successful in his/her career.
